Unravelling the intricate nature of mental health

When it comes to adequately and appropriately addressing one’s health and wellbeing, it is More than fair to say that everyone has a different approach. While some individuals do indeed prioritize their health and wellbeing, it is important to acknowledge and understand that some individuals do not have the same and persist for their own health and wellbeing. This can be quite a sad realization, however it is an important one to confront and understand as we move forward and try to find a healthier approach towards our health and wellbeing.

Additionally, health and wellbeing go hand in hand with quality of life. This is true regardless of who you are, what your personal circumstances are, or where in the world you live. And there are different aspects of health and wellbeing that all have their own important role to play and have their own value to be understood. While some aspects of health and wellbeing have been given adequate attention to detail over the years, there are others that have not been given nearly enough emphasis as they have continued to be underrated and underappreciated around the globe.

The distinct gap in mental health awareness, support, and understanding

 Mental health is without a doubt one of the most significantly misunderstood and underappreciated aspects of health and wellbeing. Health is all about understanding how to best approach the awareness, support, and understanding of that aspect of health and how to address it moving forward in a healthy and acceptable way. Physical health is given far more attention to detail and overall emphasis than mental health and for this reason mental health has suffered over the years for not only an aspect of health as it is but for the individuals around the globe who struggle with their own mental health.

Unravelling the intricate nature of mental health

The psychology that surrounds mental health is more challenging to understand than the physiology that surrounds visible health. For example, sometimes a simple test with a blood glucose monitor can solve a riddle surrounding individuals physical health. However, the approach towards mental health is decidedly more intricate and delicate, thanks largely to the fact that mental health struggles are often if not nearly always not visible on the surface. Therefore, unraveling the intricate nature of mental health is an ongoing process that we are still navigating our way towards a healthier future.

The continuous push for further understanding of mental health

Ultimately, there is a lot to be said about the  continuous push for further understanding of mental health and the fact that there is still a long way to go before we can be comfortable in our approach towards mental health. While in recent years, the further understanding of mental health has driven forward an appropriate and positive shift towards mental health overall, there is a lot to be said about the fact that there is still a long way to go before mental health can realistically be understood in acceptable terms. This is a work in progress and this is the time to continue pushing forward so we can work towards a healthier future for mental health and for individuals who are impacted in this way.
