7 Anti-Aging Beauty Treatments You Can Make at Home


People are spending small fortunes in pursuit of treatments that help control the inevitable aging process. What most people do not realize, however, is that they have most of the ingredients needed to make these anti-aging beauty treatments in their homes. Unlike the commercial skin care products, which are stimulated by vitamins that are prone to lose effectiveness over time, the natural ingredients in your home provide active vitamins that your skin can use.

1. Avocado Honey Heaven 

½ small ready avocado 
1 tablespoon honey 

Mix the ingredients and gently apply to your face. For deeper infiltration into your skin pores, warm the honey first. Leave the mixture on for 15 minutes.

Natural fats in avocado add moisture to your skin while the Vitamin E helps even the look of your skin tone. Honey is a humectant that binds the moisture and brightens the look of your skin. 

2. Brightening and Lightening Mask

1 tablespoon organic yoghurt 
1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon
1 tablespoon sandalwood powder

Mix all the ingredients in a clean bowl before applying the content to your face and leaving it to dry. Massage the ingredients as you rinse them off for exfoliation. 
Sandalwood powder contains a lot of benefits and is of high importance in Ayurvedic medicine. The lactic acid in yogurt helps smooth out and moisturize the skin.

3. Blueberry Granola Exfoliating Mask

¼ c fresh organic blueberries 
¼ c raw almonds 
2 tablespoons whole oats
1 tablespoon honey 
1 tablespoon whole organic milk 

Combine all the ingredients and blend them; mix until they form a smooth paste. Afterward, apply the mixture to moisturized skin and let it dry for 20 minutes. Massage the mixture gently in slow circular motions until it powders away. Rinse your face and tone your skin.

The food you eat is important in fighting anti-aging. The antioxidants in blueberries and raw almonds that are packed with essential fatty acids, and a vitamin E are the perfect base for a beauty boost. 4. Rice Milk Cleanser 

¼ brown rice flour 
2-3 tablespoons unsweetened organic rice milk 

Mix the ingredients to form a paste then gently massage the paste on your skin in slow, circular motions. Rinse the mixture from our face and moisturize your skin. 

Brown rice is rich in Vitamin E, which helps exfoliate the skin. Instead of the organic rice milk, you can opt to use plain water, but rice milk is a better option because it adds the retinol building Vitamin A and defensive calcium. These products have been used for centuries in Asia for anti-aging.

5. Cucumber and Aloe Cold Cream 

½ c organic plain yogurt 
¼ c cucumber, chopped and seeded
¼ c aloe fresh, peeled and chopped
½ lemon juiced 

Line a mesh sieve with a few layers of cloth and set it over a bowl. Blend the ingredients together and pour the contents into it. Cover the bowl and place the contents in your refrigerator for a period of time, ranging from a few hours to overnight. Transfer the contents into a clean bowl and apply the thick layer on your face. Leave the mixture on for approximately 30 minutes before removing the mask with a moistened wash cloth. 

The skin tends to become drier and duller with age. This anti-aging beauty treatment hydrates your skin and leaves it looking radiant using the hydrating powers of Aloe Vera and fresh lemons. The lactic acid contained in yogurt exfoliates your skin. 

6. Apple Chia Honey Scrub 

½ c chopped raw green apples 
2 tablespoons Chia seeds
2 tablespoons honey 

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and let them blend until the mixture smoothens. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes after blending before gently applying it to dry skin. Massage in slow, circular motions and rinse it off. 

This mixture uses antioxidant loaded seeds as a gentle exfoliant along with the deep cleansing power of honey. Green apples contain nutrients that play a key role in brightening and smoothing over the skin. 

7. Avocado Wheatgrass Mask 

½ ripe Avocado
2 tablespoons plain organic Greek yogurt 
1 tablespoon wheatgrass juice 

Blend the ingredients and gently apply it to your face. Allow the mixture to sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing it off and toning the skin.

Avocados are packed with oleic acid that moisturizes your skin and Vitamin E that improves the skin texture, while fighting damage from free radicals that cause your skin to age. The lactic acid in yogurt loosens dead skin cells and enhances your complexion by giving you a fresher and brighter appearance.
